SmartAgriFood Final Event and Award!

SmartAgriFood and FInish teams (companies and mentors) gathered last 14th and 15th September in Neuss, near Dusseldorf, to celebrate their success stories and experiences after two years acceleration program.

Two days of presentations, networking and workshop, among which one dedicated to investment and internationalisation, animated by Dario Mazzella (Meta Group). “First mover advantage doesn’t go to the first company that launches, it goes to the first company that scales”, quoted the expert to incentivise start-ups to craft a value proposition for their costumers and make sure of their go-to market strategy.

Two days of pitches competition as well! SmartAgriFood companies had 5 minutes to convince the jury about the value of its project’s developments and results: a good test after the skills acquired during the Perfect Pitch training, organised in the framework of the SAF business development program last April.

The SmartAgriFood jury assigned the first prize to Ubikwa with its Insylo project – a smart device and platform for remote control of stocks in feed silos. It gained the opportunity to participate to the EBN Congress 2016 on the 28th - 29th and 30th September in Guimaraes (Portugal) and present its innovation in front of investors and stakeholders coming from all around Europe.

Beenotes and Sensowave have been mentioned for the second and third best performance.

Congratulation to all SmartAgriFood companies who have achieved succesfully the acceleration program! For the full report of the event and pictures read here and stay tuned: more info about the future of the FIWARE program will come soon!
