27 startups selected to benefit from BIND 4.0 programme

The II BIND 4.0 acceleration programme organised in the Basque country has announced the 27 selected startups to scale up a total of 40 projects in collaboration with 24 big corporates.

As already presented during the summer,  EBN members coming from the Basque region in Spain (BIC Araba, BIC Bizkaia, BIC Bizkaia Ezkerraldea and BIC Gipuzkoa), together with the Basque Business Agency (SPRI) have organised another successful edition of  BIND 4.0, the acceleration programme supporting Industry 4.0 startups in the Basque region.  With total of 385 startups from 57 countries submitting their applications, the second edition has received twice more applications than the previous one!

Aitor Urzelai, director of Entrepreneurship, Innovation and Information Society at the Basque Government – SPRI and Marian Gabilondo, BIND 4.0 coordinator during the announcement of the 27 selected startups.

The selected startups (coming from Spain – 16 from the Basque Country, Portugal, Germany, Norway and even Canada), will go through a comprehensive acceleration programme of 6 months starting in January 2018. They will be mentored by a team of first class mentors, attending technological workshops with leading international figures, networking sessions with top companies and stakeholders of the Basque industrial ecosystem, and access to financing.

Congrats to the startups that went through a tough selection process and got selected!
