Innovation, Stimulation and Earth Observation

Raffaele Buompane, EBN Senior Advisor, together with EBN members BIC Lazio, Aerospace Valley and other network’s partners participated at the first joint activity of the enlarged FabSpace 2.0 network in Warsaw last month. As already announced last year, the network welcomed 14 new members and that is why they need a common meeting to understand the mission and objectives of the network.

Innovation, Simulation and Earth Observation (EO) were the key words during the workshop. FabSpace 2.0 project aims to stimulate (open) innovation in Earth Observation (among universities, civil society, corporates and public authorities) to make our planet a better place to live in by connecting EO (experts/data/SW) to other communities. This goal will be reached by providing training (technical, entrepreneurship, Bootcamps, etc.), workshops, innovation events, open days, infrastructure, communication, etc.

One of these opportunities will take place at the EBN Congress in Luxembourg (6-8 June 2018), where Business Incubation Centres of the European Space Agency (ESA BICs) and EBN Members (EU|BICs and other business support organisations) will discover the potential of Earth Observation and geodata-based applications during the dedicated session about Space. Stay tuned!
