On 22 – 24  February, our own Giordano Dichter has visited Turkey to attend the International Conference on Business Incubation. On that occasion, he shared the 2015 Impact of the EBN Network with fellow colleagues and practitioners coming from the Turkish incubation landscape. The methodology of EBN quality services has been presented as well, as discussions were concentrating on how to concretely benchmark business incubators. The congress was organized by the EuropeAid funded project Isgem Projesi.

Moreover, Giordano has had a chance to visit some incubators connected to the local universities, namely the SEHIR Techonology Transfer Office and the Yildiz Tecknopark who are associate members of EBN. A visit to the incubator of the KOC University has been interesting as well, as its dynamics show for a vibrant community of start-ups in creation. “I am actually impressed by the good work that is being done in Turkey to boost the innovative start-up community and to feed the entrepreneurial spirit in Turkey. True, much work needs to be done, but the canalization of new entrepreneurship support methodologies is speeding up the process at a fast pace”.
