Kruzr cruising on an international journey with the support of EBN
Kruzr, a startup based in India, has entered European markets with the support of EBN Members based in Germany (Werk 1 and Gate Garching ) and Ireland (EBN Member Cork BIC), where it will even move its HQ with the support of Cork BIC.
Kruzr entering European markets with the help of EBN and EBN Members
After the successful launch in India and the United States, Kruzr reached to EBN in March 2018 to explore opportunities in European markets, mainly Germany and Ireland. Through EBN headquarters, Kruzr reached Gate Garching, an EBN Member based in Garching near Munich, Germany, with which they are currently exploring collaboration opportunities. In the meantime, the startup received mentoring services by another German EBN Member, Werk 1, by entering their 8-weeks acceleration programme at InsurTech hub accelerator in May this year (2018).

Following positive experience with the EBN Member and its acceleration programme, Kruzr reached to another EBN Member this time based in Ireland, Cork BIC, and applied for its International Security Accelerator (ISA) and got accepted. The programme will kick-off in October in Ireland, and as a part of this programme, the startup will be setting up their new office there for their European operations.
Kruzr was one of the many startups that benefited from the network and expertise by engaging with EBN and EBN Members. Pallav Singh, Kruzr’ CEO, strongly recommends companies interested in exploring European market to contact EBN and its members:
“EBN has played a guiding role indirectly in our journey in Europe through making helpful information available to entrepreneurs. To anyone wanting to set up base in Europe, I would recommend reaching out to EBN and making use of their knowledge and network.”
But what does Kruzr do?

Kruzr is an AI-powered driving assistant mobile app which makes drivers safe by pre-emptively identifying and mitigating major causes which account for around 75% of crashes. It handles the risk of road accidents from mobile distractions, drowsiness, high relative speed for given road and traffic, and high-risk driving situations like merges or bad weather.
Kruzr's voice assistant is designed to meet the specific requirements of driving. It actively engages with the driver, understands him, and adopts to become the perfect co-pilot.
After a launch on Google Playstore in January 2017 in the United States and India as a test bed, Kruzr got an organic install-usage retention rate of more than 50% with more than 90,000 trips handled over Kruzr, covering on-road mileage of more than 600,000 kms. The users reported reduced distractions from phones by more than 80%.
Kruzr team: “We have been automobile fans all our lives and appreciate the experiences and enrichment it brings. We also hold a deep passion to solve socially important problems and our belief is that technology must be used to improve human lives by solving such problems.”
