In fact, predictive maintenance allows to determine the condition of in-service equipment in order to predict when maintenance should be performed. The benefits of this approach against routine and time-based preventive maintenance is that it drastically reduces costs. 

Paul Wurth InCub has been diving into the technologies that are designed for predictive maintenance, and is calling startups working  in new and disruptive fields to submit their applications. Some of the main domains of interests are:
