It gives us great satisfaction to inform you that on the 21st of September, the Social Challenges Innovation Platform (SocialChallenges.eu) launched the 2017 edition of its Open Call for Solutions.

SocialChallenges.eu is a far-reaching European online ecosystem fostering the interaction between social innovators and SMEs for the co-development and take up of sustainable and marketable innovations with a clear social impact. The platform aims to be a social innovation marketplace, where Public Authorities, Private Companies or Third Sector Organizations can post and give visibility to social and environmental challenges they want to solve. At the same time, social innovators and entrepreneurs from across Europe are invited to propose innovative solutions.

Open till December 21^st, 2017 this Call aims to scout, evaluate, select and grant entrepreneurial solutions to the 30 challenges now available online.

Surf the renewed Social Challenges Innovation Platform and look for open challenges either by theme or by geographical location.

If you are an innovative European start-up, SME or third sector organization* you can register and submit your pitch to the preferred and most suitable challenge. If selected you’ll get a 30000€ grant to co-develop together with the challenge owner the proposed solution over 6 months. You’ll also receive mentoring support from the closest regional partners of SocialChallenges.eu (our nodes).

According to the evaluation procedures, each challenge that receives a minimum of 3 proposals will enter the evaluation process. For each challenge, SocialChallenges.eu can grant a maximum of 3 solutions.

The grant and the mentoring provided by SocialChallenges.eu and the nodes aims to untap the social innovation potential of startups and SMEs in addressing complex micro and macro social and environmental challenges affecting European citizens.
