FabSpace Project: Darmstadt joins Innovation Map Rhine-Main
The H2020 funded project FabSpace 2.0 is an open-innovation network for geodata-driven innovation that leverages space data in particular through partnerships with Universities.
Recently, the FabSpace partners in Darmstadt joined the Innovation Map Rhine-Main. The Innovation Map is a tool to highlight the potential of the Rhine-Main region as a powerful ecosystem for innovation and startups in particular. In addition to universities and research institutions, many leading companies in various industries can be found there: from financial services extending to consultancy, logistics and transport, healthcare, pharmaceutical, biotech and chemical, aerospace, information and communication technologies, as well as vibrant cultural and creative industries.

By adding the FabSpace project as a Research & Development Centre to the Innovation Map, the two FabSpace Managers Sascha Heising from cesah GmbH and Bayzidul Islam from Technical University of Darmstadt want to address the opportunity to use space data for free to a wider audience. This will allow an efficient connection between the networks and increased visibility opportunities.
