Since the start in June 2019 of the InvestHorizon Accelerator Programme, EBN and some of its members have shown quite an active participation through different coaching activities sharing their expertise with companies looking to boost their investment readiness at international level.
Two of these EBN members (certified EU|BICs), namely IPN (Portugal) and St Johns IC (UK) have been put under the spotlights very recently after joining the InvestHorizon Community thereby contributing to the consolidation of the EU|BIC branding as a strong instrument for the support to and development of hundreds of sustainable and successful tech startups, both organisations having a long track record of success stories to share.
Jorge Pimenta, Project Manager at IPN and former entrepreneur himself has a clear understanding of the challenges faced by young entrepreneurs. By joining the IH Programme as expert he gladly offers his advice and insights building upon his long experience in supporting business development, as well as funding through venture capital and international programmes: “The InvestHorizon project builds on this by creating a platform to share knowledge among participants and to add new perspectives from Expert Coaches. Start-ups are expanding their networking and establishing connections, and at the same time, they get invaluable feedback. My experience has been amazing, and I encourage every ambitious entrepreneur to register and join,” says Jorge.
Grace Bilney, Marketing Manager at St John's Innovation Centre recently gave a course on Branding and Marketing, teaching Start-ups how to create a consistent brand identity and communicate with customers, understand the importance of target market, and build a marketing plan. Quite a programme for this course and many more which are free tools made available to everyone by simply registering to the platform.
