EBN President in Budapest | Business Angels training and internationalisation services

In the framework of the fifth Startup Night Budapest of November 28, organised by EBN member Budapest Enterprise Agency (BEA), with the support of the City Council, David Uhlir, EBN President and Chief Strategy Officer at JIC (South Moravian Innovation Centre, EBN member), took part at the training for Business Angels (BAs) and EU|BIC cooperation, supported by ESIL project. David outlined how to use the connection between BAs and EU|BICs, focusing on what type of companies are supported and how to identify the potential to invest in and specific sectors of matchmaking.

Later in the evening, David Uhlir also gave a contribution to the big theme of internationalisation. Internationalisation is essential for EBN and its members, and David is putting forward the opportunities that EBN as a network of incubators can offer to entrepreneurs and startups to grow their business in other countries.

EBN is a partner of ESIL project, together with META, BAE, ECN, Go beyond, LINC and BPIFrance.

ESIL project facilitates the take up of Angel Investing, overcoming obstacles related to market outreach and engaging key actors e.g. entrepreneurs, unconventional early-stage investors and crowdfunding.
