Last week, EBN together with SPI and PROMOS virtually travelled to Taiwan and Singapore to present Erasmus for Young Entrepreneurs, a programme co-funded by the European Commission to encourage business exchanges between European New Entrepreneurs and Host Entrepreneurs in three target countries: Singapore, South Korea and Taiwan.

Two events have been organized on the 9th and 14th of December for entrepreneurs and BSOs based in Taiwan and Singapore, presenting the benefits of the EYE programme and hosting a European entrepreneur for 1 to 3 months exchange:

  • To take benefit from a win-win situation
  • To exchange knowledge, skills, experience with a new entrepreneur coming from Europe
  • To access contacts and get insights on the European market
  • To explore new opportunities and establish new partnerships.

Attendees had the opportunity to meet alumni who enthusiastically spoke about their experience and positive feedback on their participation in the programme. Our thanks go to Alex Frías, Head of Global Business Development, RebelBase and Sumit Khemani, Founder & CEO at Smartfuture Pte Ltd for their testimonials.

Both events take advantage of the participation of distinguished speakers who stressed the vital role of SMEs as backbone of our economy as well as the importance of facilitating mobility to create value and revitalize the entrepreneurial culture. Our gratitude for their active participation goes to:

  • Kate?ina Nejdlová, Erasmus for Young Entrepreneurs Programme Manager, European Commission, DG for Internal Market, Industry, Entrepreneurship and SMEs
  • Marc Cheng, Executive Director, European Union Centre in Taiwan (EUTW)
  • Isabella Pirolo, International Relations Officer at European Union Delegation in Singapore?
  • Dennis Lee, Regional Group Director, Europe at Enterprise Singapore.

A special thanks to Dr Jane Liu and the Chaoyang University of Technology for acting as local contact point in Taiwan and supporting the implementation of the programme.

Last but not least, thanks to the project partners and their staff for their constant support and daily commitment.

You can find recording of the meetings here and here
