Smart AgriMatics 2014 - The future use of ICT and robotics in agriculture and food business.

Programme

Smart AgriMatics is ready to welcome EBN members, BICs and their clients in the smart agri-food field with an exciting programme of speakers and workshops that is now available at our website. Speakers come from large, leading agricultural and ICT companies (e.g. BASF, AGCO, Atos) but also from many smaller companies and start-ups. Together they will interact in a rich palette of workshops ranging from ‘farming in the cloud’, supply chain digitization to ‘smart food awareness’.

€4 million fund for SMEs to develop new applications
Details will be announced at this event of a new €4 million fund for SMEs, web entrepreneurs and ICT developers to support the development of new applications for smart farming using future internet technologies. 50+ new applications are expected to be funded through the new SmartAgriFood fund which will open in 2014. At the conference, SMEs and web developers will have the opportunity to experiment with future internet technologies developed through the FIspace project and explore possibilities to test their own software against new applications that are currently being developed in other projects. So bring your own laptop and plug-in into these new developments in agri-food ICT!

Three EBN members – SEBIC (IRL), TVT (France) and BIC Euronova (Spain) are partners in SmartAgriFood2 and will be available to discuss how your BIC clients can access the SmartAgriFood fund.

The number of participants is limited and we expect around 200 persons from software and hardware companies in particular web entrepreneurs and SMEs, farms, consultancy, agri-food business, innovation support players, governmental organisations and research institutes.
