Fostering Inclusive Incubation & Acceleration
The European BIC Network (EBN) has recently launched the FIBIA project, with the support of the JPMorgan Chase Foundation (JPMCF), to empower business incubators and accelerators to become more open and inclusive in their service offering by tailoring their activities to address the needs of disadvantaged groups. FIBIA will benchmark the inclusiveness of operations across business support intermediaries and use the collected data to create tools to open accelerators and incubators to a more diverse range of clients.
Activities Include:
- Incubators and accelerators with inclusive mandates will benchmark their outcomes against industry peers
- EU|BICs will be able to expand their capacity to deliver tailored services to a diverse clients.
- Small businesses coming from vulnerable groups / geographies will find more suitable support.
- Greater transparency and quality are achieved in the delivery of small business development services.
