The Centre will achieve these goals by sustainably offering a diverse set of services, including networking and partnering; business consultancy; pooling and sharing resources; investment attraction; capacity building and awareness raising.
The general goal is to establish and deploy European Network of Research and Innovation Centres and Hubs in Brazil (ENRICH in Brazil). To establish and deploy means that the project will secure all relevant aspects for ENRICH in Brazil to be fully and effectively operational, including a planning stage (M1-M12), a piloting stage (M12-24) and a full implementation stage (M24-M48), during which the centre is expected to achieve financial sustainability.
ENRICH in Brazil service portfolio will aim at:
- Creating research and business opportunities for European organizations in the Brazilian market;
- Stimulating the demand for European technologically-oriented services in Brazil;
- Ensuring optimal conditions for a sustainable internationalization of European research and business organizations to the Brazilian market;
- Encouraging cooperation among European and Brazilian Research, Innovation and Business (R&I&B) organizations
The proposed methodology for setting up ENRICH in Brazil relies upon a pillar-based approach – each corresponding to different chapters of a Business Plan: Strategic pillar (market analysis – Work Package (WP) 1 and strategic planning (WP2)); Marketing pillar (WP3); Operational pillar (WP4); and Financial pillar (WP5). The business model implementation (WP6) and the monitoring and evaluation (WP7) are also further pillars in the ENRICH in Brazil methodological approach. The implementation of ENRICH in Brazil will follow a three-staged strategy: the planning stage (from M1 to M12), in which the Centre’s business model (WP1-WP5) will be developed; the piloting stage (M12 to M24), focused on delivering services on an experimental basis (WP6); and the full implementation stage (M24-M48), in which ENRICH in Brazil will be established as an independent legal entity and as a financially self-sustainable organization.
ENRICH in Brazil network will support the creation of R&I&B opportunities for European organizations in Brazil, stimulating demand and cooperation for the benefit of EU organizations working or willing to work in Brazil.
