Vasu Briquez is an international senior executive, with 35 years of experience in the Software & IT industry in Innovation, Business Development, Strategy and Partnerships, gained from a career at 3 of the world's leading IT multinationals: ORACLE, AT&T and HP/Digital Equipment Corp.

Vasu is currently collaborating with EBN developing a new Open Innovation initiative, to enable Startups/SMEs in the EU|BICs to enter into novel partnerships with leading IT and other Corporates, and help accelerate the Startups' business growth and commercial success in Europe.

Vasu held key leadership roles at ORACLE for 15 years until end of 2012, as Vice President of Innovation & Advanced Technology Solutions, VP of Strategic Accounts, VP of Mobile Business Solutions for EMEA (Europe, Middle East & Africa), amongst others.

During her time at Oracle, Vasu pioneered and led the customer-driven front-line Innovation program across all the business units/divisions in Europe, chaired the Oracle EMEA Innovation Board for many years, and drove several new innovative products & solutions to market successfully, delivering considerable growth and market expansion.

Vasu has knowledge and experience in many Information Technologies, Applications and Solution domains, including latest areas like Big data/Analytics, Cloud, SaaS/PaaS/IaaS, Mobile solutions, Internet of Things, In-memory, Real-time computing and more.

During her career, Vasu led several large scale transformation programs. For example, she initiated and headed up new technology driven projects with leading customers in industries such as Telecom (Cloud Computing), Transportation (Smart Mobility), Energy (Smart Grid), Healthcare (Pervasive Healthcare), Public Sector (e-Government), Life Sciences (Clinical Trials, Medication management) etc.

Prior to Oracle, Vasu headed up Strategic Planning for AT&T EMEA for 3+ years, and played a central role in designing and launching the new Online Value Added Services business unit in different parts of Europe. In the earlier years of her career at Digital Equipment/HP (for 14 years), she held several management positions, latest one managing the European Strategic Consulting Services practices.

Vasu has worked and travelled extensively all over Europe and in the USA, and in parts of India, Middle East, Africa.
