Joanna Abi Abdallah has been Berytech’s Business Support and Development Manager since 2015.

She initiated the Business Support and Development Department when she joined and put in place the needed structures, policies, processes, and resources for the department to grow and become a key focal point within Berytech. Today, the Business Support and Development team manages several local and regional projects and provides startups and founders with various business support services. To date, the department has accompanied and supported over 50 startups from the Lebanese ecosystem.

In her current role, Joanna runs and organizes startup competitions, implements various business support interventions, including trainings, workshops, coaching sessions, and works on global projects and initiatives in the field of entrepreneurship and business support.

Before joining Berytech, Joanna was a Management & Human Resources Consultant, a Project Manager at Souk el Tayeb – one of the leading social enterprises in Lebanon, and a Rooms Divisions Manager at Hotel Albergo.

She is a strong believer in entrepreneurial activity and enjoys supporting entrepreneurs in their journey. Her approach is a blended one, inspired by both consulting and hospitality management, being results-driven with a remarkable customer service orientation.

Joanna holds a bachelor’s degree in hospitality management from the Lebanese American University as well as an MBA in International Hospitality Management from IMHI, a joint venture between Cornell University’s School of Hotel Administration and ESSEC Business School.

Born in Lebanon and raised in France, she holds the dual French Lebanese nationality and considers herself lucky to enjoy the best of both worlds. Joanna is also a devoted mom of two, an avid reader, and a diligent yoga practitioner.
