Emanuela Sirtori started her research activities at CSIL in 2009 and became a partner in 2013. She is a senior researcher and evaluator specialising in EU industrial policy, research and innovation policy, regional development, and space policy. Thanks to her strong analytical skills, Emanuela proved able to develop from scratch sound conceptual frameworks for new evaluation or research studies, to carry out insightful analyses and to aggregate information through horizontal and cross-country analysis for the development of synthesis and policy recommendations. Over the years, Emanuela has accumulated in-depth knowledge and experience in the development and practical application of both quantitative and qualitative methods of data collection and analysis, in the use of regional, company and patent data, as well as in the coordination of complex assignments and large teams of experts.
