Lennard Drogendijk, born in The Netherlands in 1969, graduated from the University of Groningen in 1994, majoring in Business Science. He has been involved in international business generating and start-ups ever since.

In 2002 Lennard started his own company, Business Development Friesland, currently with a staff of 9 people. BDF is the first BIC in The Netherlands and has a very broad scope. BDF mainly focuses on two areas: start-up companies and internationalization. In this regard, BDF offers business support, project development and management. BDF also has a advisory role towards the regional government on the existing demand in de (SME) market and has set up a successful Incubator in Leeuwarden. For entrepreneurs that seek an investment between €50.000-150.000 BDF manages the Friesland Development Fund and  offers additional value like active commitment with specific knowledge and access at very extensive networks.

In 2007 Lennard has internationally set up The Fryslân House (FH) concept. This is a shared office facility in Amsterdam, Riga and New York for the benefit of Frisian companies and acts as a branch office of the participating companies so they can approach their target audience from close by.

Lennard is a past  Vice President of the EBN Board and member of the EBN Quality Mark Committee.
